Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians needed to ring out prescriptions in Point of sale, count medication, stock , inventory, and other technician duties. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Supports pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications.
    • Helps health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone, answering questions and requests, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
    • Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs.
    • Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
    • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
    • Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
    • Maintains records by recording and filing physicians’ orders and prescriptions.
    • Generates revenues by calculating, recording, and issuing charges.
    • Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments.
    • Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing information.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  2. Education and Experience:
    • A high school qualification or equivalent.
    • Must have 1+ years of recent Pharmacy Technician experience. Outpatient pharmacy experience is highly preferred.
  3. Certifications:
    • Must have CPhT and Pharmacy Technician license
  4. Other requirements:

  • Must have 2+ years of recent RN Home Care experience.
  • This candidate should have homecare experience that includes doing 4-6 revisits per day. Candidates with Private Duty or Assisted Living experience will not be a fit for this role.
  • Nurse must have Oasis experience with documentation.

Certifications:

  • Current and valid state RN License
  • BLS Certification required
  • ACLS Certification required

    • Calibrating the equipment to ensure clear, usable images are taken of the correct area, as specified by the Doctor.
    • Logging and organizing image results, developing film, assisting with the interpretation of the radiograph results, and consulting with Radiologists to determine if other images need to be taken.
    • Ensuring the proper sterilization and storage of the equipment, maintaining radiographic equipment, and reporting any equipment failures.
    • Coordinating with the radiology department to schedule and complete radiographic procedures.
    • Maintaining up to date knowledge of current radiology practices.
  2. Education and Experience:
    • An associate's or bachelor's degree in radiography or radiologic technology.
    • Must have minimum 1+ years of recent experience as a Radiology Tech (Neuro preferred.)
  3. Certifications:
    • Valid State License as Radiology Tech required
    • BLS Certification required.
    • ARRT Certification required
  4. Other requirements:

Prior experience as a Radiology Technologist and additional certifications in diagnostics are highly desirable.
