• Performing tests on newborns after birth.
• Providing guidance to new mothers on all aspects of recovery and infant care.
• Using equipment and administering medications related to labor, delivery, and the care of newborns.

Education/ Experience:

• Graduate of a program in professional nursing.
• Must have minimum 1+ years of recent RN Labor and Delivery experience 

Certifications:

• Current and Valid State RN License required
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• NRP and EFM Certification required
• Meditech exp and knowledge required

Other Mandatory Requirements:

• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19

Location: Columbus, OH

Shift: Night: 4 9-hour shifts with on call required, 13 Weeks contract

Call: 1 night shift call per schedule (eight weeks) 1900-0700, 1 weekend call shift per schedule ( either 0700-1900, or 1500-0700)

Job Description:

A radiology technician works with a radiologist to diagnose and treat patients using diagnostic imaging examinations like X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans. The radiology technician will prepare patients and equipment for radiology procedures, perform the tests, and maintain the equipment. Key responsibilities include:

1. Duties and Responsibilities:
   • Completing the patients' intake process, taking patients' histories, and preparing and educating patients about the imaging procedure.
   • Reviewing patients' charts and Doctors' notes before the examination, and maintaining patients' records during and after procedures.
   • Preparing radiopharmaceuticals for contrast in the diagnostic images.
   • Positioning patients and equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images.
   • Monitoring patients and ensuring their safety during imaging procedures.
   • Calibrating the equipment to ensure clear, usable images are taken of the correct area, as specified by the Doctor.
   • Logging and organizing image results, developing film, assisting with the interpretation of the radiograph results, and consulting with Radiologists to determine if other images need to be taken.
   • Ensuring the proper sterilization and storage of the equipment, maintaining radiographic equipment, and reporting any equipment failures.
   • Coordinating with the radiology department to schedule and complete radiographic procedures.
   • Maintaining up to date knowledge of current radiology practices.
2. Education and Experience:
   • An associate's or bachelor's degree in radiography or radiologic technology.
   • Must have minimum 1+ years of recent experience as a Radiology Tech (Neuro preferred.)
3. Certifications:
   • Valid State License as Radiology Tech required
   • BLS Certification required.
   • ARRT Certification required
4. Other requirements:
   • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19

Prior experience as a Radiology Technologist and additional certifications in diagnostics are highly desirable.
