Unit Description:

7N is a fast paced surgical telemetry unity focusing on post-operative care of CABG’s, valves, vascular surgeries, VATs and thoracotomies. They also see many different cardiac arrhythmias and patients’ pre and post cath lab procedures. You will need to be familiar with EKG’s, tele rhythm interpretation and monitoring, central line management, external pacemakers, cardiac drips, heparin drips, and chest tube management.

Job Description:

As a Telemetry Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing care for critically ill patients, monitor the condition of patients in telemetry units, and administer medication.

  1. Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Studying patients' medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
    • Tracking routine heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry measurements.
    • Monitoring, interpreting, and recording data from specialized medical technologies and equipment.
    • Administering medication and performing treatment interventions in consultation with healthcare specialists.
    • Maintaining and updating ward charts, patient files, and medical records.
    • Instructing Telemetry Unit staff on patient care and treatment plans.
    • Explaining tests results and procedures to patients and their families, as well as answering questions.
    • Advising patients on post-hospital care, including prescribed medicine, home care protocols, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
    • Need to be comfortable to taking cardiac drips including heparin, diltiazem, and amiodarone.
    • Other assignments as needed
  2. Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
    • Must have 1+ years of recent cardiac/telemetry experience
  3. Certifications:
    • Current and Valid State RN License required
    • BLS and ACLS Certification required.
  4. Other requirements:
    • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19

This position requires a compassionate, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and critical thinking skills. You will need a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) and a valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license. Prior experience in an acute care setting and additional certifications in nursing are highly desirable.

Job Description:

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Medical and Surgical area. In this role, you will be providing bedside care for pre-and post-surgery patients, monitoring vital signs, and administering prescribed medications.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
  • Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients.
  • Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications.
  • Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
  • Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements.
  • Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team.
  • Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care.
  • Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records.
  • Adhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols.

Education/ Experience:

  • Graduate of a program in professional nursing.
  • Must have 1+ years of recent RN med surg experience. Oncology experience preferred but not required.

Certifications:

  • Current and valid state RN License required
  • BLS Certification required 
  • ACLS Certification required 

Other Mandatory Requirements:

Job Description:

Nuclear med tech needed for part-time position. 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs general nuclear medicine scans and cardiac scans. 
  • Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals orally or by injection or inhalation.
  • Explaining the imaging procedure to patients, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort while placing them in the appropriate position for scanning.
  • Operating imaging equipment, such as PET and SPECT scans.
  • Processing images on the brain, thyroid, bone, heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver on the computer.
  • Monitoring patients for unusual reactions to radioactive drugs.
  • Keeping detailed records of the amount and type of radiopharmaceutical used and of the procedure.
  • Producing computer-generated or film images for interpretation by the physicians.
  • Following safety procedures to protect staff and patients from unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Maintaining and examining medical machines and imaging equipment.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of the frequent advances, innovations, and developments in the field.

Education/ Experience:

  • Degree in nuclear medicine technology.
  • Must have 2 years of recent Nuclear Medicine Tech experience.

Certifications:

  • Valid State License as Med Tech required
  • ARRT Cert in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB certified
  • BLS Certification required

Other Requirements:

  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
