Job Description:

A labor and delivery nurse cares for women and their infants before, during, and after birth. A labor and delivery nurse will monitor mothers and children, provide postpartum care, and educate new mothers about the care of their newborns.

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with expectant mothers for prenatal visits and providing care for normal and problematic pregnancies.
  • Teaching childbirth preparation classes.
  • Providing information, guidance, and hands-on clinical care to pregnant women.
  • Monitoring fetal heartbeat and length and strength of contractions during labor.
  • Coaching women, assisting with any complications and administering medications during birth.
  • Performing tests on newborns after birth.
  • Providing guidance to new mothers on all aspects of recovery and infant care.
  • Using equipment and administering medications related to labor, delivery, and the care of newborns.

Education/ Experience:

  • Graduate of a program in professional nursing.
  • Must have minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience

Certifications:

  • Current and valid state RN License
  • BLS and ACLS Certification required
  • NRP Certification preferred

Other Mandatory Requirements:

  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19

Job Description:

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients who have breathing difficulties. These include chronic respiratory diseases, such as emphysema and asthma. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Monitoring patient physiological responses to therapy such as arterial blood gases, vital signs or blood chemistry, and lung function changes, and consulting with physicians if there are adverse reactions.
    • Working as part of a team of health care professionals to manage patient care by assisting with medical procedures.
    • Setting up and operating devices including therapeutic gas administration apparatus, mechanical ventilators, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.
    • Following specified parameters of treatment.
    • Providing emergency care, such as external cardiac massage, artificial respiration, or assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
    • Inspecting, testing, cleaning, and maintaining respiratory therapy equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and efficiently.
    • Maintaining charts that contain patient identification and therapy information.
    • Measuring arterial blood gases, reading prescriptions, lung capacity, and reviewing other information to assess patient condition.
    • Relaying blood analysis results to a physician.
    • Making emergency visits to resolve equipment problems when necessary.
    • Ordering equipment repairs when necessary.
    • Explaining health care treatment procedures to patients to gain cooperation.
    • Checking pulmonary function in patients.
  2. Education and Experience:
    • Must have minimum 1+ years of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  3. Certifications:
    • Valid State License as RCP Respiratory Therapist required. 
    • RRT or CRT Certification required
    • BLS and ACLS Certification required
  4. Other requirements:
    • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19

Prior experience in an acute care setting and additional certifications are highly desirable.

Job Description:

This janitorial position requires strong attention to detail and concentration, repetitive work, working within tolerances, set limits or standards, and the ability to problem solve, communicate and have good interpersonal relations. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Will be responsible for cleaning and servicing lobby, waiting, and common areas, performing cleaning duties to meet standards of the Hospital.
    • Cleans all environmental surfaces including, but not limited to, windowsills, door frames, vents, televisions, walls, light fixtures and windows, following universal precautions.
    • Dries and wet mops rooms, hallways, stairs, bathroom and offices; spot cleans and vacuums carpets. Gathers and disposes of trash.
    • Responsible for keeping service closets and carts fully stocked, orderly, and cleaned.
    • Reports hospital property and equipment in need of repair, transfers furniture, and spot cleans furniture, as necessary.
    • Buffing of floors is more likely to take place on 2nd (4pm-12:30am) and/or 3rd (10:30pm-7:00am) shifts.
    • Individual will not be exposed to any biohazard chemicals. 
    • Equipment/Tools: Mops, cleaning cloths, vacuum, compactor, floor buffer, floor machine, telephone, pager, cleaning cart, wringer, bucket, and computer. 
  2. Physical requirements: 
    • Must have ability to stand, walk and push continuously for entire length of shift.
    • This position will require bending, pulling, reaching and twisting frequently.
    • On occasion will require kneeling/squatting, climbing and having the ability to balance.
    • Degree of physical exertion is moderate. 
    • Candidate should have the ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  3. Education and Experience:
    • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
    • Must have Six months of experience in hospitality/medical housekeeping strongly preferred.

This position requires a compassionate, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. You will need a Bachelor's or associate's degree in radiologic technology and a valid state license to work as a CT Technologist. Prior experience in an acute care setting and additional certifications in diagnostics are highly desirable.
